Imamah is the fourth of the Roots of Islam. It is the belief that Allah SWT has appointed leaders among the people who are not necessarily prophets and that one of those leaders must exist at all times.

The Imams of Islam are 12:

1- Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib 2- Imam Alhassan 3- Imam Alhussain 4- Imam Ali Ibn Alhussain 5- Imam Mohammad Albaqir 6- Imam Ja'far Alsadiq 7- Imam Moosa Alkadhem 8- Imam Ali Alridha 9- Imam Mohammad Aljawad 10- Imam Ali Alhadi 11- Imam Alhassan Alaskari 12- Imam Mohammad Almahdi
