The Vigabatrin REMS Program is required by the FDA to make certain informed risk-benefit decisions before starting therapy, and to ensure suitable use of vigabatrin while people are treated. It is not possible for your doctor to recognize when vision loss will occur.
It is suggested that your doctor examination your (or your youngster's) vision before or within 4 weeks after starting SABRIL and a minimum of every 3 months during treatment up until SABRIL is stopped.
