What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The quantity of these items required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
The process of upgrading an item is an intricate process that takes time. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the item's new ilvl bonuses, perks, and other properties. Failure Rate
The item upgrader allows players to add a second slot on their equipment. The slots can be used to upgrade an item level upgrade or apply an enhancement.
