World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrading (simply click the following article)

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3% of its previous damage every time it is upgraded.

item upgrade upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment with the upgrade item (for examplethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items to double or even eliminate chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs to be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using a Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the Best item upgrader to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP as the Best item upgrader version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item upgrader is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to bring every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
