World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item upgrader mod level requires a different amount of components to be reached, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a disadvantage in that it could make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial however it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as the Best item upgrader version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
