Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the best ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items efficiently.

Upgrades in equipment can add a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales according to the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components can make your weapons and armour better. They can be found by destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors, or finding them in the form of item-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that has the components, or by utilizing high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. In contrast to other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when removed from an item.

Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be used to increase the level of experience gained by upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can be made for extra bonuses. For example, a designed glyph will increase the upgrade chance of its target, whereas an upgrade boost will boost the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.

Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to bind it to an item. This will show the upgrade components to which the item can be upgraded. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components are collected.

Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item gains when upgraded using that component. Organic components, for example, have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. It is therefore best to upgrade using organic components until you reach the multiplier of experience for the next rank of weapon or gear, and then switch to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade limit number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades available is determined by its upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. For example, the highest possible weapon upgrade is a weapon of tier 10. However, the most popular upgrade for weapons is a tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.

Sets

A set is a group of items which share a bonus. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade increases the bonuses that are guaranteed. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, primary stats are enhanced even more (for instance, +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its stats will increase randomly.

Upgrades can also increase the base damage of a weapon. This may be important for certain builds. Weapons aren't upgraded to give greater maximum defence rolls than their base. Upgrading can be a good method to increase the value of some set and unique items, however it's important to remember that they might not be better than a high-level runeword in any build.

If the item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus it is able to be rerolled once and its guarantee will reset to 0. Rerolling will cost the same amount of power dice as the process of leveling an item, but the new item will offer different extra bonuses. Upgrading can be done by visiting the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will require the required amount of Minerals and Erons, as well as a power dice of each type. These can be bought by using Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also offer an extra reward for each tier of the upgrade process. This reward is rerollable once and the reroll will be made using the same materials as the original item.

Rerolling

A player can roll any item they have acquired in the game provided they have enough tokens to do so. When an item Upgrader kit is rerolled it will be replaced with an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens can be bought from the store for an amount of in-game currency, however they aren't refundable. The new item will come with the same bonuses like the first, however the stats will also be different.

Players can alter the identification of their equipment, in addition to rerolling it by interacting with an NPC upgrader. This will change its identification from a weapon to an armor or reverse it. The base stats and requirements remain the same. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who are wearing the gear.

Players can also boost the level of an item equipped equipment by acquiring upgrade components and interacting with the upgrader NPC of the item. This will cost a set amount of crests and Valorstones according to the upgrade track and kind. Each step will give an additional 5% of damage to weapons.

An upgrade can make it more powerful, but it will also lower its quality. It is therefore important to strike a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all however, others will need to be upgraded in order to realize their potential. One player may wish to upgrade the breakpoint armor by adding an interesting modifier ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to explore what else it can become.

The primary reason why people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is that they're trying to acquire a certain character or weapon that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming and the RNG gods don't always want to play. The only options left is to shell out real money or grind for a long time. For this reason, rerolling is a popular option in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

When upgrading an item you can choose to increase the level of the weapon or armor. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I think it was meant to be a way to give some value to rare items, but as equipment generally drops quickly and can only be upgraded one level up and you'll typically replace the item before it becomes too old. It's not worth upgrading items with gem sockets because the power of the gemstone will outweigh any increment in ilvl.

You will be presented with a small box when you click the upgrade option for an item. It will display the item's template, the crest, and the cost for Valorstone to raise the item level. The cost will differ between weapons and armor as well, with the former typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that can be added to an upgraded item upgrader mod, as well as its current ilvl.

The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the current Ilvl of the item and the upgrade item templates. The ilvl will also be reduced by the upgrade template's lvl reduction percentage. For instance, an upgrade of 8% will decrease the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 88%.

The item will get upgrades to other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damages and block, parry, and dodge rating in addition to the base ilvl. These enhancements are also based on the upgrade items template.

In the upgrade template, you can determine the amount of damage or defense that the item will receive when it is upgraded. This is displayed below the cost and the upgrade percentages. Aside from equipment for practice, all items and armor get the same stats once leveled up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch a much higher price than a non-upp’d version. This is also true for other pieces of armor like tiaras and circlets.
