Path of Exile Item Upgrades

item upgrades (please click the next site) are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can also provide additional damage, AD or even affixes.

Sometimes, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade equipment due to their requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They improve the stats of whatever item they are connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at bonfires. They can also be salvaged by using an expert or higher salvage kit to recover upgrades from the items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it will take on. The upgrade of an armor piece to its highest upgrade level will increase the damage it absorbs. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, therefore it must be heavier.

There are several different types of armor upgrades available in the game. Each one has a distinct effect. Certain upgrades grant armor an additional number of health points while others make it more powerful and lighter. The type of armor upgrade item that an item upgrader can get is indicated by the name of the upgrade, as illustrated in the table below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a combination of technology and magic, as identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Certain upgrades also require fees for use. They are referred to as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are updated daily or never expire based on the upgrade.

The cheapest way to upgrade armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be obtained through exploring the surroundings and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, however it is obtainable from the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide a significant boost to performance and are worth the investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.

Upgrading a piece of armor to the highest upgrade level will dramatically increase its defense values, but the player should be aware that putting on weight can drastically decrease its agility and speed. For this reason, it is typically not recommended to upgrade the majority of armor pieces beyond +9, because the increase in defense is usually not worth the weight and power cost of the improvements required.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of specific aspects of the weapon. Upgrades can boost the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage that shotgun shells do. Some weapons also have special enhancements that enhance their intrinsic capabilities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the possibility of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's acceleration to cause more damage) are two examples.

Most weapon upgrades require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade. They can be obtained by finishing side quests, taking out a certain number of monsters or bosses, or by contacting the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.

The process of upgrading a weapon, equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee that is based on a specific number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars you will need to complete the upgrade. If you have multiple upgrade materials the cost of upgrading will be less.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your weapon and equipment sets was a bit different. Before you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to a higher rarity. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this, but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. You're better off buying gear that has low upgrade levels and high base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a higher likelihood of granting you highest tier blessings and perks.

Most players will want to prioritize upgrades to the weapons they use most frequently to help them level up quicker. Players should also upgrade the weapons their squadmates use to make them stronger. Shepard, for example, should upgrade the M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more useful when used in conjunction by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, enhancing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. They can be created using the process of jewelry crafting, which is where you combine a gem with several ingredients at a table for jewelry. The higher the quality of the gem, the greater the secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses in the world, or through salvaging Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.

The Jeweler can enhance the quality of gemstones in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The stat boosts will vary according to the tier that the jewel is at when it is inserted into jewelry, weapons or gear.

All kinds of jewels can be made at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get them. Jewels can be replaced with another one without damaging the original. However it is only possible to replace one jewel in an item of equipment once.

Using more jewels in a movement can make it feel more comfortable and is usually used to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. Jewels also enhance performance and make a harder surface than steel, so that the repeated friction caused by pivots does not cause damage to them.

In addition to the upgrades mentioned above players can also obtain glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These provide a small bonus and can be swapped out at any time, but are not guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold, and also a Scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be taken out and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits or aegis can't be swapped, and can only be recovered through an upgrade extractor or salvaging using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are a great way to give your character various small, but valuable advantages. They are available in the start-up area as loot or personal story rewards. They are also available through vendors and after completing road interaction. They can be purchased from the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinket that a player will unlock is the cloak. It gives a small but beneficial boost in speed of movement and evasion. After that, they can acquire rings, amulets, and necklaces in a similar manner to the way a player obtains weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has an upgrade slot which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be utilized on any piece of equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced, and can only be used with certain trinkets.

These trinkets also provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active whenever the hero is not in combat. This lets the hero be more effective while inactive, and can also help to compensate for the absence of a solid team or the absence of any slots in the talent tree which would normally be filled with the hero's best statistics.

A good guideline for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace soon, followed by items with desirable stats that are less important than the iLevel of the item level upgrade that is being upgraded. This is particularly true if an item has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade since it's generally more beneficial to upgrade one important stat than two sub-optimal ones.

Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinket to a red one at the start of the game. Top and mid players, on the other hand, will choose a pink or green ward, based on the matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

Aside from the things mentioned above, players may also find other items in the form of awards and trophies. These can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, like finishing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the appropriate achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
