Path of Exile item upgrades, www.google.dm,
Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a good source of additional damage, more AD or even more attachments.
In most cases, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade gear because of their higher requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both weapon and armor items. They boost the performance of the item upgrader that they're connected to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. They can also be salvaged using an expert or higher salvage kit to salvage upgrades from the items.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it can take on. The absorption of damage by an item of armor will increase as it is upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. It is important to note that this will increase the weight of the armor, so it must be more heavy.
There are a variety of armor upgrades available in the game. Each has a different effect. Certain upgrades give armor an extra number of health points, while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the upgrade will indicate the kind of upgrade that an item will be given, as illustrated below.
Some of the upgrades also require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which is identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Furthermore, some upgrades require a charge to use, which is shown by a "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges for these upgrades are updated daily or never expire dependent on the upgrade.
Iron Ore is the cheapest option to improve your armor. You can find it by exploring and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, but is readily available at the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide a significant improvement in stats and are a worthwhile cost, especially for single-handed weapons.
The player must be aware that upgrading a piece to its max upgrade level will increase its defense values. However, it will also affect its agility and its speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The defensive boost gained usually isn't worth the weight and power expenses of the upgrades.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players to improve the effectiveness of certain aspects of the weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage that shotgun shells do. Certain weapons come with special upgrades that enhance their inherent qualities. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and decreases the chance of overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases projectile acceleration for more damage).
The majority of weapon upgrades require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. These can be obtained by finishing side quests, killing a certain amount of monsters or bosses, or by contacting the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.
Upgrading a Weapon, Equipment Set piece or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee that is based on a specific number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars required to complete it. The cost of upgrading will be less if you have more than one of the relevant upgrade materials.
In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade your weapon and equipment sets has changed. In the past you could search for an Upgrade Bench and pay a certain number of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to a higher rarity. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level at which point the upgrades would be reset.
You can still do this, however, the process is high on RNG and low on agency. Instead, you're much better off visiting stores and purchasing equipment with low upgrade levels, but good base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a higher chance of giving you the highest tier advantages and benefits.
To level up quicker, players usually prioritise upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons their teammates use to boost their strength. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to increase its utility when paired with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, increasing a stat and providing secondary effects. Jewelry crafting is a method for making them, where you combine a gemstone with a number specific reagents in a jewelry table. The higher the grade of the gemstone, the better the secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained around the world through Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and occasionally by salvaging Legendary equipment. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.
The Jeweler can boost the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. Based on the tier of the jewel it will give different stat boosts when inserted into gear, weapons and jewelry.
All kinds of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary gems that require you to be at a sufficient level to qualify for them. Jewels can be substituted with another jewel without destroying the original. You can only replace the gem only once in a piece of equipment.
It is typical to use more jewelry for aesthetic reasons. In addition to enhancing performance, the diamonds create a surface that is harder than metal, so repeated friction from pivots won't damage them as easily.
In addition to the above-mentioned upgrades additionally, players can obtain glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These provide a small bonus and are able to be swapped easily however they aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold, and also scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like traits and aegis, are not swappable, and can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a great way to provide your hero with various small, but useful, benefits. You can find them in the starting area as loot or as personal story rewards. They are also available from vendors as well as through completing road interaction. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinkets a player is able to unlock is the cloak, which gives a small but useful bonus in speed of movement and evasion. After that, they can purchase amulets, rings and necklaces in a similar way to how a player acquires armor and weapons. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accept either a universal upgrade items or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be placed in any kind of equipment however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and only works with certain kinds of trinkets.
These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't in combat. This lets the hero be more effective when not active and may also help fill in the void of a solid team or the absence of any slots in the talent tree that would normally be filled with hero's ideal statistics.
A good rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace soon, followed by items with desirable stats, but less important than the iLevel of the item upgrading that is being upgraded. This is especially true if you are looking to upgrade multiple statistics on an item. It is more beneficial to upgrade item a single important stat than two less important ones.
Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red trinket at the start of the game. Top and mid players on the other hand will pick a pink or green ward, based on the matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's map control abilities.
In addition to the items mentioned above, players will also find other trinkets that form trophies and rewards throughout the game. These can be obtained through completing certain milestones within the story. For instance, finishing the main quest of a chapter or defeating an opponent. You can see them by clicking on the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
